One of the key social aspects of developments/mining is often the visual perception or visual impact of the proposed development. Visual impact assessments help evaluate the potential aesthetic impact of development projects. This process includes generating 3D terrain models, development viewsheds, modelling visual impacts using GIS technology, and assessing visibility from static and dynamic observer points.
